Paul

Paul (portrayed by John Pyper-Ferguson) was an inmate who served life imprisonment, infected with the Faciphaga Emasculata.

Biogrphy

Paul, a convicted murderer at Cumberland State Correctional Facility in Virginia, escaped with his accomplice Steve inside a laundry hamper in the prison. This coincided with a Faciphaga Emasculata outbreak within the prison, as the bedclothes had come into contact with Bobby Torrence, an infected inmate. Paul and Steve were thus infected upon their escape. At a rest stop, Paul murdered a traveler, Robert, and stole his RV. Later, at a gas station, Steve began developing pustules on his face, a sign of the infection. Paul knocked out Angelo Garza, the gas station attendant, and fled with Steve to his wife, Elizabeth, who cared for the ailing Steve. After Steve's death from the infection, which coincided with the arrival of the U.S. Marshals and FBI Special Agent Fox Mulder at his home, Paul's symptoms worsened. He went to a bus station to try to escape to Toronto, but Mulder and the Marshals surrounded the bus, which Paul then hijacked. After releasing all the hostages, including a young boy Paul was holding at gunpoint, Mulder tried to convince Paul to give a statement about the infection as quickly as possible so that Pink Pharmaceuticals, the company responsible for the prison infection, could be shut down. Before he could say anything, one of the Marshals shot him in the head and killed him. (TXF: "F. Emasculata")
