Terrance Allen Berube

Dr. Terrance Allen Berube (portrayed by Ken Kramer) was a scientist.

Biography

A friend of Dr. William Secare, who suffered from melanoma, Dr. Berube launched an experimental program in which six terminally ill patients were treated with extraterrestrial gene therapy. The patients eventually recovered but acquired superhuman strength and the ability to breathe underwater. Secare's survival was never considered by other members of the testing program, aside from Dr. Berube, as they deemed the possibility of having a living hybrid in the real world too risky. Secare warned Berube of this situation.

After Dr. Secare fled from the police and disappeared into the water of Ardis Harbor, Maryland, FBI Special Agents Fox Mulder and Dana Scully questioned Dr. Berube about Secare because the latter had used the car during his escape. After admitting to the agents that Dr. Secare was part of an experiment, he dismissed them. Later that night, Dr. Berube found the Crew Cut Man, a Syndicate assassin tasked with killing Dr. Secare, in his laboratory. He questioned Berube about Dr. Secare's whereabouts but, unable to answer his questions, the Crew Cut Man coldly informed him that his job was done and killed him, then staged it to look like a suicide by throwing him out of his laboratory window.
